Days Itinerary
Day 01

Arrive Kathmandu, Half day Kathmandu city tour of Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swambhunath Stupa:

Kahmandu Durbar Square is the historic seat of Shah Dynasty. The Durbar Square, with its old temples and places, epitomizes the religious and cultural life of the people. It is here that Kings of Nepal are crowned and their coronations solemnized. Interesting things to seek here are; Taleju Temple built by King Mahendra Malla in 1549 A.D., Kal Bhairav, the God of destruction, Nautalle Durbar, Coronation Nasal Chowk, the Gaddi Baithak, the statue of King Pratap Malla, the Big Bell, Drum and the Jagannath Temple. Swoyambhunath Stupa, atop the hillock is one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Nepal enlisted in the World Heritage Site.

Day 02

Full day tour of Pashupatinath temple, Boudanath Stupa, Bhaktapur and Patan City: PASHUPATINATH - is situated five kilometers east of Kathmandu and it is the temple of lord Shiva-Pashupatinath with two tiered golden roof and silver doors which is famous for its superb architecture. The stupa of Boudhanath lies 8kms east of Kathmandu. This ancient colossal stupa is one of the biggest in the world and the center of Buddhism in the world. It was listed in the UNESCO Heritage Monument in 1979.

BHAKTAPUR - This city is still on the fringe of medieval age. Known as Bhadgaon, it is famous for making mask. Their mask dance is very impressive. Square around the palace (Durbar Square) has many temples built in pagoda style. Famous are a five storied Nyatapola temple built in 1708 AD and Dattatrya temple built in 1427 AD. The intricately carved peacock window and numerous fountain inside the palace are other attraction. You can extend the tour to Changunarayan (temple) located on a hill top.

PATAN DURBAR SQUARE - most prominent place to see is Krishna Mandir which was built in the seventeenth century. This temple holds a commanding position in the palace complex of Patan. It is supposed to be the first specimen of Shikara style architecture in Nepal. It is the only temple in Nepal having 21 spires and is completely made of stone. Golden Temple and Durbar Square are some important places to see in Patan.

Day 03

Sunrise tour and overnight in Nagarkot:

Depending upon your choice either sunrise or sunset, we will set out for a fascinating drive towards Nagarkot. Nagarkot is situated at 32 km east of Kathmandu and at an altitude of 2175 m above sea level, Nagarkot is a popular destination for the view of sunrise and sunset and panoramic view of Himalayas including Mount Everest.

Day 04 Excursion to Nala Panauti and Nama Boudha or hike around Nagarkot:

Visit to the villages on your short hike, you get opportunity to meet local people and get to know they day to day living.

Day 05

In Kathmandu,Sightseeing tour of Dakshinkali and Kirtipur:

On this day you get to see panoramic view of the Himalaya as you travel gradually to the summit of the hill at Pharping. Enroute to Dakshinkali you visit Chobar and Pharping. It was believed that Kathmandu was a lake and the Godess Manjushree cut the valley at Chovar to drain the water. At Dakshinkali animals are sacrificed on every Saturday at the Kali temple.

Drive back to Chovar and gradually climb to Kirtipur. it is one of the oldest city in the valley that has not changed since the time it was used as spring board to capture Kathmandu by the founder of Nepal. It is located on a hilltop overlooking Tribhuvan University. There are ancient shrines, temples, old style houses, villagers dressed in their typical costume, and people weaving yarns in hand looms. Return back to your hotel at 4.00 pm.

Day 06

Transfer to airport,depart Kathmandu:

Transfer to the airport for departure onward.
